I especially like the part about the impending carpal tunnel and lack of sleep.       

So… I got a raise at work.  The thing is, it is a laughable raise.  I mean, 3.41 %.  I’ve been here for 2.5 years.  3.41% is FAR under inflation for 2.5 years.  It is better than nothing, and that is about all I can say about it.

The funny thing is, that I don’t think I would think much about a 10% raise.  That would be better than nothing too, but I don’t think of it as anything remarkable.  It is small.

Now a 20% raise would be more like it, and would be nearing what I would expect to be paid given my current job.  However, I now have a Masters Degree, and I bring FAR more to my job than what my position says, so… a 50% raise would be more what I feel I deserve.

And that is why I laugh at 3.41 % raise.  HAHAHA.  It funny, It cute.  It is not even gas money.

I can’t wait to move.
