don’t doubt me.

it is starting to drive me crazy!!!

Please don’t doubt me when I know 100% I am correct.

*sigh* – anyway… nevermind.  Just not the greatest way to start the day.  WHEATIES on the other hand… 😉

oops, yummie food.

I cooking in the kitchen, and I decided to pan fry some sweet potato because I had some oil left in a pan from vegie stur fry.

well…oops… it is delicious.

I added honey and maple syrup, because, well… sweet potato tastes good with those… But what I wasn’t expecting was the infusion of onion from the previous dish – well… ok – I was expecting it… but I didn’t think it would taste so damned good!

Honey Maple Sweet Potato infused with Onion.

MMMmmmmmmm…….

so good!

complains about co-worker ;)

Ok…so I have a coworker, and we are buddies and everything… but I’ll be damned if I’m not often astounded by the lack of understanding of certain things.

There are some things that I just know, and I guess I expect other people to know.  But when I say something as matter a fact, and the others response is “it shouldn’t”.  WTF am I to think?

I KNOW that updatedb and locate and the entire slocate suite have absolutely nothing to do with resolving dynamic library links.  Running updatedb is not going to change any ld/ldd behaviour.  A response of “it shouldn’t” to these facts simply shows ones lack of knowledge, and it is disappointing.

Pop Quiz:

Guess with your gut, or a calculator, this interesting (to me) finance question.

What APR is necessary to yeild 100% growth in an investment at the end of 10 years?

Went to Family reunion yesterday.  It was totally rad.  Before you ask, this was my mom’s side of the family, so no, there was no gun shooting or anything like that.  It was on my aunts farm so we ate a lot of garden fresh food (literally, not that shit in fast food that says those two words together and they are meaningless).  I petted the cows, because they are pretty, even if stinky.  And I talked with my long lost family.

My uncles both seem to be into the real estate game.  I need in on that action.  They didn’t talk about it too much, so I didn’t get much info.  Mostly just success stories, to which I have to guess there are some failures as well.

Something else was fun yesterday, but I’m not sure what, I guess just hanging out with not much care in the world is fun enough.  I’m glad I can do that on a semi-regular basis.

Hehe…

It took me a couple hours to track down just how mailman works and how it does stuff, but I eventually came up with this patch that does what I want.

It was a good programming day!
